Women Leaders Intercultural Forum: Theory of ChangeWomen Leaders Intercultural Forum >> WLIF's Theory of Change
We believe that lasting change can happen when women at the grassroots level, and their designated representatives, have the opportunity to ‘speak truth to power’. Similarly, we work with women leaders who can leverage their international profile, access to world leaders, moral authority, and convening power to provide strategic entry points to amplify the voices of women at the grassroots level. We also believe that the “silos” and boundaries separating women leaders at the local, national and international levels must be broken down and that, women of different backgrounds must be integrated into the local and national processes from which they are generally excluded. We believe that this should happen on a consistent basis to assure sustainable progress towards a more equitable and safe world. She argues that Catholicism and tradition subjugate women to 'second class' status. |
