Realizing Rights: Action Updates
2010
The final months of our work at Realizing Rights produced a number of important results which are presented in this, our final Action Update. On 14 December 2010, in New York, Realizing Rights staff, partners and supporters gathered to celebrate the culmination of our joint endeavors and look ahead to the opportunities for new beginnings.
As Realizing Rights approaches its planned end in December 2010, we know there is so much still to be done to realize human rights for all ??? and that our partners, and the programs and institutions we have helped launch, will continue to make the case for why human rights matter. Join us for a final event to celebrate achievements and learn more about the work of our partners as they move ahead.
Featuring news about the G8 meeting in Canada, the collaboration with Amnesty International to shine a light on the importance and positive impacts of human rights commitments, the Women Deliver conference, the tenth anniversary of UNSCR 1325 in October 2010, Climate Wise Women, and the upcoming event to mark the planned end of Realizing Rights in December 2010.
Featuring news about the CSW session at UN Headquarters in New York, International Women's Day 2010, a multistakeholder event reflecting on COP15, the Institute of Human Rights and Business, the program 'Global Health & Development', and the World Day of Social Justice.

Featuring news about Mary Robinson's visit to four African countries, the Jobs|Justice|Climate rally in New York City, WLIF's support in co-convening an event on "Peace and Security through Women???s Leadership: Acting on 1325 and Climate Change" during the United Nations General Assembly, the Vancouver Peace Summit, the Middle East visit by The Elders, and a contribution by Mary Robinson in The Lancet.
Featuring news about the ILO Conference 2009, the Health Worker Migration Global Policy Advisory Council's most recent meeting in Washington D.C., Increasing Momentum for UNSCR 1325 National Action Plans, and the 2009 Global Humanitarian Forum.
